If you had told either of us years ago how our story would begin, we probably would have laughed. It took us a long time to find each other, but as it turns out, all it took was one random message from an incredible man to a wild woman on the internet.What started as an unexpected conversation quickly became something neither of us had ever experienced before. We found not only the love of our lives, but our very best friend. Somehow, we discovered the person who makes every ordinary day feel extraordinary.People always talk about love poems, love songs, and romantic movies. We used to smile politely or roll our eyes, wondering if love like that really existed. Now we understand. We finally get what all those poets, songwriters, and hopeless romantics were trying to say. They weren’t exaggerating. They had simply found what we found.Our journey wasn’t the shortest path, but it was exactly the right winding road that created the perfect time for our meeting. Every twist, every wrong turn, and every chapter before this one led us to each other. We wouldn’t change a thing, because it brought us here.Now we can’t wait to begin our greatest adventure yet, surrounded by our amazing children, families, and the people we love most. Things to Do in Fort WorthWe're so excited to have you here! Fort Worth, nicknamed "Cowtown", is full of Old West charm, great food, and fun things to see. Here are some of our favorites to fill your time here. Heads up: Fort Worth runs hot in July (90s+), so we recommend saving outdoor spots for mornings or evenings! Classic Fort Worth Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District The must-do while you're here. Watch real longhorn cattle driven right down the street during the world-famous twice-daily cattle drive (11:30am &amp; 4pm), no reservation needed and totally free to wander. The Stockyards are also packed with historic saloons, boot shops, and Western-wear stores. Billy Bob's Texas Right in the Stockyards, this is the "world's largest honky-tonk" live country music, a huge dance floor, and (if you're feeling brave) bull riding. National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame A fun, interactive tribute to the women of the Old West Sundance Square 35+ walkable blocks of restaurants, shops, and free live music Wednesday through Sunday. Fort Worth Water Gardens A striking (and free!) architectural park with cascading pools right in the heart of downtown and makes for great photos. Art &amp; Culture Kimbell Art Museum — Free admission, and home to the only Michelangelo painting in the Americas. The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth — A striking building filled with big-name modern art, including Warhol, Pollock, and Rothko. Amon Carter Museum of American Art — Also free, with a fantastic collection of Western and American art.Family-Friendly &amp; Outdoors Fort Worth Zoo — Regularly ranked one of the best zoos in the country. Fort Worth Botanic Garden — 120 acres and the oldest botanic garden in Texas, including a beautiful Japanese garden. Bring quarters to buy fish food! The Coi eat right from your hand! Trinity Trails — A lovely spot for a walk or bike ride if you want some fresh air. Local Favorites Inspiration Alley — A huge, colorful outdoor mural gallery in the Foundry District , very Instagrammable, and close to some great local spots like Maple Branch Craft Brewery and Blackland Distillery. Log Cabin Village — A fun, lesser-known step back into 1800s Texas life. Local EventsCheck back closer to the date, or visit fortworth.com/events, for concerts and festivals happening during your stay , but you can always count on the Stockyards rodeo on Friday and Saturday nights! Getting AroundIf you're staying downtown and want to visit the Cultural District museums, check out The Dash — an easy electric bus that runs between downtown and the Cultural District for just $2 a ride (or $5 for a day pass).
